WEST PAPUA – Yahukimo, September 4, 2025 Hundreds of Yahukimo residents, along with the family of Victor Deal who is being killed by the Indonesian terrorist colonial police,
Yesterday West Papuan mass rally occupied the Yahukimo regional Police Station against the Indonesian criminal police brutality psychopaths to demand justice for the death of Victor Deal, a young Papuan civilian from Langda District, Yahukimo Regency, who allegedly died after being tortured and killed by Indonesian terrorist police officers on Thursday, September 4, 2025.
West Papuans with their family and people brought the dead body of Victor to the Yahukimo Police Station as a symbol of grief and resistance against the ongoing repressive barbarism Indonesian terrorist state colonialism in West Papua, particularly in Yahukimo. The community demands:
(1) The government and the Yahukimo criminal Police Chief should be immediately removed from their posts.
(2) Immediate investigation into Victor Deal’s death.
(3) The perpetrators of the killer should be prosecuted transparently and dishonourably discharged.
(4) An end to the arbitrary arrests and abuse of West Papuan civilians.
(5) An end to the criminalisation of Papuans. The death of Victor Deal adds to the long list of victims of violence by security forces in Yahukimo.
