Hari HAM Sedunia 2016, Gereja Katolik Merauke Bikin Kegiatan di Luar Konteks
MERAUKE, Westpapuanews.Org — Momen Peringatan Hari Hak Asasi Manusia (HAM) sedunia yang jatuh pada tanggal 10 Desember 2016 diperingati oleh mayoritas Orang Papua sebagai hari kelabu.
Berbagai Organ Perjuangan Rakyat Papua merayakan hari HAM ini dengan mempersoalkan Hak Penentuan Nasib Sendiri bagi West Papua yang selama ini dikebiri oleh Indonesia dan Pembantaian terhadap OAP yang menyebabkan populasi kaum pribumi di Tanah Papua semakin menurun di tengah-tengah membludaknya populasi pendatang yang semakin menegakkan dominasi mereka.
Tetapi fakta di Merauke, Papua, berkata lain.
Dimotori oleh Gereja Katolik Keuskupan Agung Merauke, secara khusus Paroki Bambu Pemali, sekelompok Orang Muda Katolik dari lingkungan St. Marta dan Panti Asuhan ABA mengikuti kegiatan Retret.
Kegiatan diluar konteks Hari HAM tersebut dilaksanakan tepat pada hari HAM yaitu hari Sabtu, 10 Desember 2016 pukul 15.00 WWP sampai dengan hari Minggu, 11 Desember 2016 pukul 15.00 WWP, bertempat di Kampung Sarsang, Distrik Semangga, Merauke.
Kegiatan Retret ini diinisiasi oleh mantan Bupati Merauke Romanus Mbaraka (Pengasuh), Mick Yamlean (Ketua Kelompok), Pastor Silvester Tokyo (Pembimbing) dan Pastor Pius Manu (Pembimbing).
Ketika informasi Retret dengan Thema : “Siapakah Aku” ini disebar le jejaring Facebook, beberapa aktivis Papua menanggapinya secara serius.
“Bahwa kita orng Papua semakin hari semakin habis, jadi solusi yang terbaik adalah Gereja Katolik harus bicara untuk selamatkan Orang Papua, tanggal yang sama itu, adalah hari HAM sedunia, lalu apa yang dibicarakan di ret-ret itu, kalau kita terus koreksi diri dengan tema yang ada, lalu sampai kapan kita koreksi diri terus, sedangkan Orang Papua semakin habis, apa ini yang dinamakan slow motion genocide,” tulis Facebooker bernama Zeus Youmbewa Chambu.@WestPa
