Multinationals based in Britain, such as BP, Unilever, and Barclays are profiting directly from the dispossession and oppression of the people of West Papua. The callous destruction of the rainforests is a direct threat to people all over the world. The International League of People’s Struggle in Britain condemns these crimes against the people, and commits itself to arousing, organising and mobilising the people in London and beyond to neutralise the ability of these corporations to oppress the people of West Papua once and for all.
WestPapuaNews.Org The Indonesian colonial terrorist government has been imposing further restrictions on communications coming from occupied West Papua. Worse, it is deploying more reactionary armed troops for its longstanding campaign of genocide against the people and plunder of their rich natural resources.
The people of West Papua cannot be subjugated. They are resisting the giant mining corporations. They are defending against brutal campaigns of massacre, torture, and rape perpetrated by the Indonesian military. They are fighting against the increasing displacement of the indigenous people from government-sponsored transmigration. They are asserting national self-determination and liberation.
WestPapuaNews.Org We need to expose and oppose the colonisation and occupation of West Papua and sustain our support for the people’s struggle. Many have yet to be informed about the life and death struggle in West Papua.
The call of the people of West Papua has been answered by the Boycott West Papua campaign. The task at hand is to arouse, organise, and mobilise the anti-imperialist masses of London, and across Britain, to make concrete steps to organise solidarity with the people of West Papua.
