TODAY – WEDNESDAYS, 11th February 2026 Tembagapura: Mimika (Freeport McMorran mining company)
The West Papua guerrilla (TPNPB) seized two Rifles and eliminated 3 Indonesian Military Officers in Tembagapura and urged the closure of the giant mining company of PT. Freeport Indonesia
Press Release Wednesday, February 11, 2026
The TPNPB (West Papua Freedom Fighters) from Tembagapura declares that we are responsible for the elimination of the 3 Indonesian military officers and the seizure of two SS2 rifles, two magazines, and 50 rounds of ammunition, which are now TPNPB assets.

We carried out an attack in Tembagapura that resulted in the elimination of Sergeant Arifin, and the serious injuries of Sergeant Hendrikus and Private Hardiansyah.
We call on Indonesian terrorist President Prabowo Subianto and the United States to immediately close down the PT. Freeport Indonesia, which operates on our ancestral land, Papua. Because for more than 64 years, it has exploited and plundered our natural resources for the benefit of imperialism, multinational profiteers, and international capitalism. The existence of this mining company has never brought justice, but has only led to the destruction, dehumanisation, massive demographics exchanged, ethnic cleansing, and ongoing secret genocide of indigenous West Papuans.
The presence of PT. Freeport MicMoran, Rio Tinto since 1967 never benefited for indigenous Papuans, but Indonesian colonisers with foreign investors have only succeeded in robbing, exploiting, and mass murdering Papuans before the illegal Act of Free No Choice 1969 (Pepera) of 1969, which has brought disaster to this day.
This is evidence of the collaboration between American imperialism and Indonesian colonisers before the handover of Papuan administration from the Netherlands to Indonesia under pressure from the United States for the sake of Papua’s gold and natural resources.
This resulted in numerous civilian casualties, genocide, and the biggest destruction of the natural ecosystem, Ecocide, damaging West Papua’s future generations will come.
