Oxford Re-Encampments for Palestine!
📍 Nakba Day March and Student Action – May 16, 2025, yesterday evening at Magdalen College – Oxford University.
WPNews.Org – OXFORD West Papua, Kanak, and Oxford communities joined a march from Manzil Way to the heart of Oxford, marking 77 years since the Nakba—the mass displacement of Palestinians in 1948. With fresh horrors unfolding in Gaza, silence is not an option.

🇵🇸 Over the past few days alone:
➡️ 240 Palestinians killed in Gaza over the past 36 hrs (source: Khaled Beydoun)
➡️ UN warns of total collapse of humanitarian aid delivery in southern Gaza.
📣 In response, a brave group of students from Oxford Against Genocide have re-established a protest encampmentinside Oxford University grounds. They are calling out the University’s financial and institutional ties to Israel and demanding real accountability.
🛑 Oxford colleges profit from the occupation and continue to platform extremist Zionist ideology.
Their 7 demands:
1️⃣ Disclose university-wide assets
2️⃣ Divest from Israel’s apartheid regime
3️⃣ Overhaul investment policy
4️⃣ Boycott Israeli universities
5️⃣ Drop Barclays
6️⃣ Rebuild & reinvest in Palestine
7️⃣ Stop dodging social housing contributions
This encampment is a call to action for us all. The students won’t leave until the university acts. And neither should we.
For those who have been silent up until now – it’s never too late.
✊ Show up. Speak out. Support the encampment.
