Unite against anti-immigrants, racism and misogyny Afghans Refugee in Iran

8 March Women’s Organisation  (Iran-Afganistan) at Trafalgar Square – London.

As far-right forces gain more power, especially in imperialist countries such as the United States, Germany, the Netherlands, Britain; nationalism, anti-immigrants, racism, anti-queers, misogyny are being consciously fuelled globally and by relying on it, they have put the expulsion and oppression of refugees and immigrants on their agenda.

However, the growth and spread of racism and anti-immigrants is not solely limited to imperialism countries but rather, under the wings and by relying on the racist policies of the ruling imperialists, ultra-fascist government such as the Islamic regime of Iran and Pakistan are practising racism in more brutal, indiscriminate and dramatically extreme ways than before against immigrant from Afghanistan.

During the very same period, and particularly after the “ceasefire” between Iran and Israel, the Islamic regime of Iran has expelled hundreds of thousands of Afghanistan refugees and immigrants, under various pretexts including spying for Israel. Among the vast number of Afghans expelled, a significant number of them were actually born in Iran and have never seen Afghanistan. Some of the forced deforted are women, who were forced to do almost slave-like work with low wages in Iran. They also had to survive under a harsh racist and misogynistic regime. Female teenagers who studied in high schools and universities were subjected to thousands of hardships, insults, and humiliations.  Female children who went to school had to pass through barbaric racist interrogation of the educational system.

A quarter of them expelled are children, thrown out of Iran without their families’ knowledge. They are alone in Afghanistan and their fate is unknown. All these women, teenagers, and children are repressed by the xenophobic regime of Iran and handed over to the anti-women Taliban regime in Afghanistan with extremely dangerous consequences and by resorting to violence.

The Islamic regime of Iran, as well as the Western states, hide this naked truth from the people that unemployment and the spread of poverty are essentially one of the diseases and necessities of the capitalist system in Iran and all around the world. On the basis of such a cover-up, they can influence the unconscious and ignorant strata  of the society to believe that the causes of their unemployment, poverty and misery are not as capitalism but as immigrants and refugees in order to gain their support for expulsion of refugees and migrants.

We strongly believe that anti-Afghanism in Iran is inseparable from anti-immigrants in the West. That is why we stand together with you, the freedom loving people, women’s organizations and progressive forces so that we can and must organize a joint and protracted struggle against racism, supremacy, particularly male supremacy, anti-immigrant, anti-queers and misogyny. For our part, we will be actively fighting to stop the spread of racism, misogynistic and fascist ideologies
