Justice For Jenelyn in Papua New Guinea

Women are the crowning jewels of their family, to be loved, cherished and treasured by their partners or husbands.

It breaks my heart that some men continue to treat women like property to be used and abused and killed.

I stand in solidarity with the people of Papua New Guinea who have been speaking up and protesting against Domestic Violence in recent days to condemn the murder, torture and abuse of Jenelyn Kennedy at the hands of her husband- the man who was supposed to love and cherish her as his wife and mother of his two children.

But instead, Jenelyn’s husband, Bosip Kaiwi, tortured and abused her before he delivered her lifeless body to the hospital.

As a woman, I would like to use my voice to speak up and demand justice for Jenelyn and all our women who have and continue to face domestic violence in their homes where they are meant to feel protected and happy.
